Martello were instructed on behalf of a petrochemicals company to provide an expert witness report in a dispute relating to performance of the Defendant’s obligations under the Conversion Agreement between the parties. The Conversion Agreement in this matter was to convert cumene into phenol and acetone.

The expert in this niche market was asked to explain the cumene/phenol value chain and assess the European cumene/phenol market in the relevant time period. The expert set out the potential sources of cumene in the market and explained the integrated nature of the cumene/phenol value chain. The Martello team assisted in constructing and proof-reading the expert report, which had a critical education piece for the tribunal, as well as assisting in the preparation for the hearing.
