Geoffrey began in Chartered Accountancy private practice in 1989 in the UK and since 2000 in Switzerland. Since the mid-1990s, his core practice has been dispute resolution and investigations. He is (possibly) the only Welsh-speaking forensic accountant in practice in continental Europe.
He has testified on over 60 occasions in legal proceedings and in early-2018 he used this broad and deep experience to revive his family’s firm Senogles & Co (first established in 1925). During the past 20 years, he has sat on company boards for several client companies and has run businesses; providing day-to-day practical business experience.
Over the decades, Geoff has handled many hundreds of cases and projects covering an extremely broad range of business sectors, working in many countries. He has acted as party-appointed or Tribunal/Court-appointed expert witness. Increasingly, he acts as a non-testifying adviser on quantum – advising law firms, litigation funders or clients directly. Senogles & Co also has extensive case experience of working closely with sector specialist technical experts – including coaching novice testifying experts in preparation for their hearing or trial evidence. He has lectured on financial damages and the role of an expert witness on LL.M. programmes in Swiss universities since 2009 (e.g., www.MIDS.ch).
