Melissa Gleave is an expert in derivatives with 15 years of experience in the financial services sector. She has been instrumental in establishing the financial services expert offering, with responsibility for strategic operations and development of client relations.
Melissa commenced her career as a foreign exchange and money market analyst, initially at Citigroup and later at HSBC and Deutsche Bank. She spent three years as an Associate at Bank of Scotland before joining Lloyds Banking Group.
During more than 10 years at Lloyds as Director and Associate Director, Melissa developed a robust client portfolio, particularly in international markets, spending eight years on the trading floor in derivative and FX sales. She also provided risk management solutions to private equity sponsors, including interest rate, FX, commodity and retail price index (RPI) derivatives. Over a period of two years, she also managed large sections of the interest rate swaps mis-selling remediation project.
Melissa holds a BSc (Hons) in Physics from the University of Manchester. She also holds an ACI Diploma from the Paris-based ACI Financial Markets Association (ACIFMA) as well as Certificates in Fixed Income (FIC), International Fixed Income and Derivatives (IFID), and General Certificate Programme (GCP) from the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), headquartered in Switzerland. Melissa is fluent in English and Portuguese.
