PartnerValia Dousiou is a Partner at Martello. She is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a delay and disruption expert. With 15 years of experience in the construction industry, she has advised on complex disputes concerning major projects across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas and Asia.
Valia has been appointed as an independent delay expert and has provided delay and disruption analyses in numerous international arbitration proceedings, as well as mediations and dispute adjudication boards.
Her experience spans major engineering and infrastructure projects, including power and process plants, biomass facilities, LNG, rail, offshore developments and Oil & Gas.
Valia is recognised in the Lexology Index, where market feedback highlights both her expertise in delay analysis and her ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly. Valia holds a BEng and MEng in Civil Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MSc in Project and Enterprise Management from University College London. She is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
